Family Portal documentation
A role-aware guide: guardians and eligible staff manage household funding, while portal-authorized students can review their own activity and request funds without accessing payment methods.
The Family Portal only shows information for households, students, and schools connected to your account by the school. If you see a no-access page, ask the school office to link your account.

If the balance does not look right, review History before contacting the school office.
Online payments and Payment Methods remain disabled until the school completes Payment Setup. The portal explains this state; contact the school rather than repeatedly retrying.
If a student is missing, the school may need to update the household link.
Payment methods are visible only to authorized guardians or staff, never to student accounts.
Printing follows the active filters and authorized household access; it does not expose activity outside the selected family context.
Students can use the portal to understand only their own cafeteria activity. Funding and payment actions remain with authorized guardians or staff.

Portal-authorized students can request funds, but cannot view payment methods or complete a payment.
If something looks unfamiliar, ask your school cafeteria or office for help reviewing it.

Missing Family Portal access does not remove authorized Admin Portal access.
Guardians can manage the household side of the portal, including balances, top-ups, payment methods, and student activity.
See the current household wallet balance, available balance, and any pending cafeteria order holds.
Review linked students, recent cafeteria purchases, and spending activity connected to your household.
When enabled by the school, add money to the household wallet using supported online payment methods.
Save, review, and update payment methods that can be used for household top-ups.
Use transaction history to review top-ups, cafeteria purchases, refunds, and school adjustments.
Portal-authorized students can review their own cafeteria activity and request funds, but cannot view the household roster, payment methods, or complete payments.
See the household balance available for cafeteria purchases connected to your account.
Look only at your own recent cafeteria activity so you can understand what was purchased and when.
Send a top-up request for a guardian or eligible staff member to review. Payment methods and payment completion remain adult-only.
Manage notification preferences for account and cafeteria updates that apply to your portal access.
Update account preferences such as language, timezone, password, and profile details where available.
Staff Family Portal access requires school approval and an active household link. Online payments also depend on the school completing Payment Setup.
School-approved Family Portal access allows eligible staff to use the portal only for the household linked to their active staff record, without changing their Admin Portal access.
See balances, open-order holds, linked members, and household cafeteria activity.
When permitted, staff can add funds using saved household payment methods.
